
Across from the Brass Figure Pavilion, this stone niche in the style of a small hall is where a timetable was placed by officials from the Directorate of Astronomy before a sacrificial ceremony. The emperor would depart for the ceremony in accordance with the timetable. If important affairs came up during his time of abstinence, memorials to him were placed inside the pavilion. For this reason, it is also known as the “Memorial Pavilion.”
